Evander Kane resigning in EDM is very likely not happening, and EDM has high interest in Giroux. IMO, Giroux on a 3-4 year deal is better than a Evander Kane long term deal.

Maybe realistic for you but how can Montreal fit Barrie considering they have the third highest cap in the league and a cap penalty because of overage bonuses lawl?

For a 3rd, the Habs do it.

Plus, a few contracts (notably Hoffman and Petry) are likely to be traded. Price will also go on LTIR so that's 10.5M there

Why would Montreal pay for a cap dump? I don't understand why anyone would think we would pay for Barrie. I hope Hughes sees it the same way.
