Wishful thinking

Description
Miller is a very good player that seems to have found his home, but his age doesn't fit with the canucks' plan and his next contract will be too much. With the signing of Kuzmenko it seems more and more likely that pearson's time with the Canucks is over. An OEL trade is very unlikely but trading him opens up so much cap space and gives rathbone and dermott a bigger role. Myers isn't that bad but if there is a trade that doesn't involve the canucks giving up more assets Allvin should take it. With the 2nd pick the Canucks could pick Nemec or Jiricek to solve our RHD problems but I think Slafkovsky is a good gamble and the Canucks can take defensemen with the rest of their picks.

No way Columbus takes that contract. The McDonagh rumour was bs.

Devils decline. Don’t care for Miller- he’s going to test UFA. Not giving up premium assets to obtain him

Miller is too good of an asset to let walk, if the Canucks don't resign him he will probably be traded to a team that would

Montreal is not giving up basically 2 1sts and a 3rd for 15th and DePietro, change the 2nd to the Oilers and we consider that though.

I thought 26 and 33 for 15 was a pretty common canucks-canadiens trade down and Dipietro+6th for late 3rd sounds pretty fair

Vancouver fans really don’t remember last draft… OEL would only waive for 2 teams, Boston and Vancouver. OEL isn’t waiving for Columbus!

26th and 33rd would get us to around the 10th pick doing that for 15th makes no sense when 26th and the Oilers pick would be closer

fair enough, hopefully our fanbase can drive him and his contract out of here

OEL is a solid dman, just needs a better defense partner. He played all the hard matchups and had to carry Myers.

JT Miller doesn’t fit the Devils window. Makes more sense to keep the pick and prospect

Siegs is the best pure defensive defenseman in the league. Considering the Devils analytics team has a large say in any decision, it’s probably pretty high

he was pretty good this year considering he was behind hughes but I think we should get out of his contract while he still has some value

More than Vancouver is willing to part with. Analytically he was rated the best defensive defenseman in hockey this past season and could pair with Hamilton on the top pairing this season.
