Wings are not moving the 8th overall for a player under performing. Counter point the hawks don't trade a 21 year old that they see as a future top line center.

Hawks are not taking almost 11 million in cap for 2 seasons for the #7oa in a fairly weak draft where the top 2 D will likely be gone by that pick and your choice is the 3rd best D or 5th best forward (again in a pretty poor draft).
