Who ever loses out on Klingberg will give up more then that for Petry so I'd hold out on that trade.

If we could get rid of Hoffman that easy MTL would have likely done it by now

Sabres decline, no interest in Hoffman, not giving up assets for him.

The value of the Jake Allen trade may be overly generous for Edmonton but with Matt Murray headed to Toronto, the likelihood of the Oilers signing a UFA starting goaltender became almost a certainty.

Nadeau seems to be that Diamond in the Rough you find occasionally. With the improvements in his skating he's a handful now. Buffalo declines

Big players take longer to develop.
He is not Thompson size but much larger than the average NHL forward.

And this makes us want Hoffman because?

LOL where did you get the idea that I was referring Hoffman from my reply to the quotes.
Nadeau is a young large player and I compared him to Thompson taking several years to demonstrate his capabilities.
I guess I could have been more specific, as I thought it would obvious since I was using Thompson as the comparison.
Hoffman is 32 yo and only 6'0" larger but not particularly large, I doubt he will develop beyond his current status.

I didn’t think you were saying Hoffman was still developing, I was just confused why you quoted my post with that lol

I think a decade from now we're gonna read some really fascinating stuff about how COVID affected the 2020 & 2021 drafts. Feels like there's a lot of guys who look really strong out of the mid/late rounds from both drafts, and I wonder how much that is scouts not having as much familiarity with players because they had to watch video instead of seeing the kids live.

This past draft to, gonna be some good players that fell into rnds 2-4 that probably should have gone higher.
