He's not overpaid and Edmonton is currently sitting on over $20M in cap space.

I think Seattle still passes though - I don't think they have to add a pick to Carson Soucy to take back a contract that Edmonton, even with some cap flexibility after the Keith retirement, would be happy to move since they already have 2 stron RD in Ceci & Bouchard.

In reality he’s a third pair RD who can run a PP. he’s not worth 4.5m for that role so he’s overpaid.

I just included the pick as I've seen it done by some writers in their mock ups. Could call it a 1 for 1 as the general premise is that Seattle needs an offensive/ PP spark and Barrie provides that and Edmonton needs a Soucy-type Dman.
