This is easily the cheapest time to try and acquire Petersen from us. I think the Kings are committed to both Quick and Petersen this season, but Petersen's value is in the tank if I'm another team.

Can't see LA trading Petersen. Quick is only on the books for one more year and none of LA's prospect goaltenders will be ready to take over the starting goaltender position in LA by 2023-24. Petersen has been very good in his career thus far, he just had one down season. I suspect LA will give him a chance to rebound before they throw in the towel on him.

I think Kappo is the sharks goalie that is most likely to stay next year

Maybe Peterson's value is a 1st and 2nd atm. Quick was in some recent rumors more so than Peterson but Rob Blake told Friedman he want to keep the tandem the same next year. Expecting Quick to resign if he is starting in the playoffs next year.

If you offered a first I would certainly consider trading Kahk. But nothing less than that

I don't think we make Cal Petersen available because we need insurance in case age finally catches up with Jonathan Quick. But check back with us tomorrow if we announce that we've signed Ilya Samsonov.

Maybe even more than a late 1st is needed as overpay for Kahk. SJ's best goalie option + giving up Middleton to acquire him last season = overpay required or it's a terrible set of moves for SJ

Seems like Kahkonen is the one goaltender on sj that won’t be moved imo
