Lol you a complete moron if you don’t think every team in the entire league would jump for that deal 47 goal scorer for a prospect and a couple of picks lol you don’t know hockey. PLD deal is more than fair value dach is an unproven prospect. Hard to find big young talented two way C in league most teams would pay a lot more for PLD

Thats not true
He's not a 50 + point player
But neither in PLD half the time
He's inconsistent at best and always asking for a trade

GMs arent lined up for PLD this time
Its 3 teams in on him and i dont see anyone doing WPG favors

Oreilly pulled this stuff too
His value dropped each time
Both times he got 1 player under 25 of value and a bunch of Quantity over Quality.

Why ?
He eliminated his own Market being a Shhappyhead
PLD with his agent's statement the other day did the same thing.
When PLD says he wants to play in MTL while being owned by another team never goes over well

WPG has no leverage especially with Arbitration about ready to award him a Subban level overpay as they always do.
I'd rather wait and make WPG have to RS long term just to get half the value they're turning down now.
In a cap world even a Duchene who's a top NHL Faceoff Center has had his value dropped

There's many example's of this

Agree with everything you say he runs when it gets hard or he is unhappy I just think if dach doesn’t perform during the season and PLD starts ripping it up then habs would try to make that deal I only say dach because of his age and I am rebuilding a team with young talent that all hypothetical. tho personally Dvorak would be more likely trade if jets turn things around this season

Agreed but i think that can be said of anyone no on our top line at this point
Even Gallaghers Immunity to it has dissapeared.

In MTL the way to the Fans Hearts is Goals for sure
Close 2nd behind that is being a tough player to play against
Dach could be our Shawn Thornton at worst and at best could be our 2nd line LW option beside PLD
Going to 4th Center first will get him the best results as he has the Size and players down there to create havoc
I'd even Argue it has the potential to be better then the Merlot line in BOS circa 2011

The said i wasnt thrilled about what we gave up for Dach
IMO you wait another year and he'd have been worse less.
That said CHI is blowing up their team if he stayed odds are good he's have stepped up earning more value(even Hanzal did in similar situation)
I wouldnt have gave up more then FLA or CGY's pick and a good Prospect myself

You might get Holtz and a small add for Connor.
But certainly not Nemec and another 1st on top of that.

I think Holtz, top 10 Protected pick and Conditional 3rd does it IMO
That is unless WPG RS

Pacioretty and Mcdounugh played great but were given away due lack of cap room
Many teams signed too many players to term and are limited now
Connor's high cap despite good production doesnt mean much if no team can afford to take him

Really CGY are the only team i can think of he'd want to go to who can afford him and have a hole he could walk in and fill
Teams these days are about Strategy and Cap with more Emphasis on the Bottom 6 then ever before
Too many players signed to top 6 deals that have become burdens teams pass around for asset's usually at a loss.
GM's giving every UFA the max has taken its toll especially when it comes to Wingers who are always the first position statistically to lose their value quickest

Best to sign a Winger after his ELC long term so you get All his Prime Years before he becomes a UFA leaving maybe 1 or 2 on the table with none of the down years Burden

Canes pass. Euler is nice, but the Canes aren’t trading Jarvis.

Philly passes on that deal… giving up the 4 youngest players in a deal is never smart… adding in a first is just major overkill

Not to mention Philly takes on a lot of money in this deal and will be over cap by like 5 million

Oh and if Philly could retain half of JVR for a first, they’d have done it lol
