I would laugh if they did this then sucked and Carolina got Bedard

Don’t think it’s possible to be worse than Chicago though

Michkov, Fantilli. All much better prospects than the whole 2022 draft. Anaheim wont do this! Carolina would thank them while Anaheim tanks and troll endlessly

It likely goes unpunished tbh cuz they have the cap easy to match. It would just be a pissing war

Different situations. Ducks have the cap to sign necas. And they also have the cap to easily match the offersheet that comes back at them

Which is why you over pay them . It's not about making them not match, its about making them regret matching,

The Canes may dodge an OS bullet with Necas this year just because teams may be loathe to risk their own 2023 1sts. The Ducks would really have to believe in Necas and that he elevates their team past lottery status for such a deal to be worth it.

I’m also not sure the Canes just wouldn’t match that as well. It would suck, but they could handle it by buying out Gardiner in the 2nd buyout window their arb cases will afford them.

Brave to offer sheet the top 2 richest team in hockey. 🤣🤣🤣 If you think the cap would strap them you’re nuts.

Doesn’t matter how much they have if it is dependent on the cap. This move would mean if the leafs match, they have to move some pieces. Ducks don’t care how rich they are. Doesn’t excuse the fact that they won’t match. Montreal is the 3rd richest team in hockey yet they didn’t match a kotkaniemi. Sandin is in danger of being offer sheeted and even if the leafs match, it screws them for the futute

Nosy I’d OS Necas for is $4,200,000 and I wouldn’t at all for Sandin

Getting rid of our 2023 1st round pick is absolute insanity

I am pretty high on the ducks so I think these two additions make them a playoff team. If you disagree then it is what it is. Tbh I see the canes matching necas if it’s a 4.2 and this was just to try and get two successful OS

There’s a big difference between Habs with KK and Leafs with Sandin. Leafs easily match and in 2 years they’ll be going after Terry AND Zegras. LolEven if they only get one. Plus I love Sandin and he may be the future but Leafs can do a lot with that cap space. Especially if they trade Muzzin
