Coach, management, ownership as always for the Flames will continue down the road of mediocrity. They will ice a competitive team this year that either gets rolled in round one or picks 17th in the draft! As has been for the last 30 years.

All these blockbusters flying around all willy nilly and you're gonna grab Pool-party for a 2nd then pay him on a 5x4.5???

Way too much for Hanifan. The Devils are fine on LHD with Luke Hughes coming up next year. They shouldn't be spending big capital on an area they are deep in prospects. Siegs-Graves-Prospect will be fine for this season.

Also, not a chance I trade Casey right now.

For Hanifin, I’d do this

I'm begging people to look at Ottawa's top 6. Like just look at it, then look at their Blueline and explain why it makes sense to move the Sun and moon, including the best Dman outside the NHL, for another guy to play in the top 6.

It's too high a price, and positionally it's absolutely not what they need.

He's got two years left to UFA. You tend to just throw away a lot of future in your trades. Not worth it to me.

Rangers decline. No cap space for Lindholm.

Why would the Rangers do this after just signing Trochek long term? Answer is.....they wouldn't.

Future draft picks/prospects shouldn't be a worry to us at this point if we're actually trying to win games

Swap Kakko for Chytil and retain 50% on Lindholm for cap reasons and I would do it.

I can't agree with you at all on that. I get it when you are IN your window, like TOR and EDM, but we are still approaching it. I feel you have a real fast burn rate on talent how you structure teams.

Look at every roster I make and tell me that 1) we wouldn't easily make the playoffs 2) we could probably do damage in the playoffs

Looking at guys like Pasta, Tkachuk, Connor, Meier. All guys who will take us to the next level. Why take a shot on Holtz when u can have a guaranteed player at 24-26 yo. Are you saying you wouldn't give up something like Holtz, Severson, 2023 1st, 2024 2nd for Tkachuk?

I am fine trading Holtz for a LONG term player like Tkachuk, but deals for a guy like Hanifan, for two years? I wouldn't touch Laine. Miller would be well into his 30s when we are actually contending.
