You've gotta keep in mind it's very likely a one year rental.

It's been reported that he no longer wants to play in Canada, and very likely in a lower tax state

...and I predict yet another 1st round playoff exit with that trade package.

Toronto needs another 9-10M offensive player contract like a hole in their head even if it gets rid of Nylander's 6.96M contract.

Hint to all Toronto armchair GM's: start trading for playoff grit and defensive d-men--not another 40 goal scorer.

...on 2nd thought don't--Matthews UFA date is coming up soon. Continue to try to outscore playoff teams as I'd like to see Matthews leave.

I know this will come as a great shock to you but I don’t think he wants to play for the Leafs

What really intrigues me isn't the Calgary trade, even that MT signs with the Leafs, but the fantasy that NTC Muzzin waives for Seattle or that Seattle would pay for the pleasure.

Not only does CGY say no,
but even if they said yes the Leafs wouldn’t be able to sign Tkachuk to an 8year deal- 7years would be the limit

Canes pass. We have no need nor want for Holl. Dump him elsewhere.

I think Matthews and Marner can convince him. Him and Matthews goes back and Marner and him formed one the best lines in all of junior
