If Calgary were to "blow it up" remove the Kane trade(he probably wouldn't want to come here anyway) trade Backs, Coleman, Tanev and maybe a few others

I don't think Calgary would or should do that trade, overpay for one year of Kane when we really won't be in contention this year IMO

Despite the cataclysm this summer, the Flames still have a pretty solid base from which to rebuild. Such a quick fall from contender status stings, I'm sure, but patience may be warranted here. I'm not a fan, but I can clearly see a number of hard working and talented players wearing the Flaming C and Darryl Sutter is the ideal coach at this point. Stay strong Flames fans, your day will come.
