Description
Still think Juraj starts the year in Laval simply to accommodate to the smaller rink size. He'll be in Montreal at some point throughout the year but not to start.
If Montreal brings him to be on the wing like it was rumoured a little back I don't think he gets 8+ a year.
Until proven otherwise Price isn't playing.

Trades

  1. Zadorov, Nikita
Additional Details:
Just like the Petry trade I don't think they can just get those 4.5M$ off the book but with this trade we get another "meh" contract that suits a position of need. Same term, save 750k.
CGY
  1. Hoffman, Mike
Additional Details:
With Tkachuk on his way out and Mangiapane still unsign maybe Calgary would be entice to bolster a little bit their left side? Hoffman isn't the most versatile forward I admit but his offense is still up there.
2.
MTL
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc [RFA Rights]
WPG
  1. Dvorak, Christian
  2. Norlinder, Mattias
  3. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
I'm just going with the average trade ideas thrown around here. Still thinks Winnipeg's on pretty thin ice and that fans will be underwhelmed by the return.

Uh Tkachuk is almost certainly returning a forward that can jump into the top 9 in his place. And Mangiapane said only a couple days ago he is looking to do a long term deal with Calgary. Flames also have Pelletier coming up so there simply is not a spot anywhere for Hoffman. They also just re-signed Zadorov who was very adamant about wanting to stay a Flame

I still believe hughes trying to stick winnipeg with as many of his predecessors misfires as possible, kind of change of scenery slash try to make a deal as shiny as possible without really Getting rid of anyone you want going forward. Drouin/Hoffman/mailoux/ possibly dvorak type guys, to attempt to replace with nucleus guys going forward. Will be a interesting test of wills type trade. Super scrutinized and some summer entertainment anyway.

Dvorak is more close to Dubois than Lowry is from Dvorak

Suzuki is under contract and doesn't want out so it's not really comparable, neither is Dvorak-Lowry since the former outproduced Dubois at even-strength with significantly worse linemates. Now on the other hand, if Suzuki's agent publicly said his still unsigned client wants to be a Winnipeg Jet...

fair point about suzuki not wanting out, at least not publicly. however dubois and suzuki are the same caliber of player and i think the packages are similar. jets 1st will be better than florida 1st. dvorak is the better player but lowry is still good and a much better two-way player and stanley is a better player than norlinder.

At the end of the day we're paying for his RFA rights more than anything cause your management obviously isn't able to make a deal with him, same can be said about Tkachuk but he just had an 100 point season... Tkachuk will fetch a top six roster player, an A prospect and a 1st, so in what world do you think PLD's worth as much or more? Career scoring pace; Matthew .88 / PLD .66.

i think hes worth more. dvorak and norlinder have been disappointments. a late 1st in 2023 is still good.
