JP is probably not worth more than a 3rd+5th on the market atm and that's probably more or less what teams are offering but I don't think the Oilers trade him for that unless he starts doing terrible in the season or sits out (although he probably won't be doing this since he will have a contract and not reporting to camp won't bode well for him).

Insufficient incentive to take on $5.625 million in cap, let alone retain $2,912,500. Max Jones and the Colorado 2023 second for Muzzin and your 2023 first. Nobody and nothing is making us take Muzzin except on our terms.

I’d say at least a first, especially if we’re taking Holl back and retaining. DeMelo provides excellent value even at his full cap hit.

Him being traded has no affect on what an Arbitration hearing would rule on. He's going to get mid $3's to $4M in arb.
