Pretty straight forward, the Wild are in cap hell for the next 3yrs and are fairly well stocked on prospects so we can afford to send some high picks out for a chance to win now.

Hawks decline. Ignoring Kane and toews nmc's, that's not nearly enough for the hawks to trade them in division.

Agree, but I think the thought was people would comment what the actual comp would need to be.

I doubt the Hawks care who they trade them too...they are in full on tank mode and everyone if the hockey world can see it, besides if they didn't trade them to the Wild they could very easily sign in the central next year when they are UFAs. I think the biggest thing would be would the Wild want to give the Hawks two 1st rounders? If it guarantees a cup yes...but we know that is not a guarantee so I doubt the Wild would even do it anyways.

Minnesota under Guerin wouldn't do any of this. Guerin got rid of Parise, suter for less. He's not parting with 1st round picks for a cancer in Patrick kane, and a player whose essentially done in Jonathan toews

The way the Blackhawks ate making a mockery of the league’s integrity…I can only assume they prefer to trade these two within the division…
