Okay, maybe you don't believe in trading Wingers for Center's and vise versa, but what if GM's don't share that sentiment?

It’s pretty rare

Personally I disagree, but okay

Who is the center piece of this deal?

It's probably a tandem of Garland and Podkolzin

I would want an eichel level package. Based on what Eichel has done compared to Barzal and Eichel’s injury with Buffalo that doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.

And would you accept that for Pettersson?

Barzal could fetch less considering he has a 10 million dollar QO. Debrincat's underwhelming return arguably was largely due to his 9 million dollar QO that he's owed next off-season

Barzal plays a premium position and isn’t in an organization run by Kyle Davidson.

Actually I might, that above package honestly looks pretty tempting, especially considering Barzal hasn't exactly lit things up offensively in the last couple of years

No, because Pettersson is better than Barzal

I’m pretty sure the isles can lock up Barzal at the same price as Robert Thomas anyway. And even if they couldn’t I prefer Barzal to Eichel.

The only thing eichel has done is help Vegas miss the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

Are you sure he's under the new CBA rules for QO's?

Barzal isn't gonna except the Robert Thomas contract, he's gonna want more for sure

You mean the year they made the conference finals? Or last year when everyone got Covid and Pulock was hurt?

Oh and both teams were coached by Barry Trotz lol.

Barzal’s on ice shooting % was in the 300s along forwards despite being one of the best playmakers in the game. It was his quality of teammates that led to to the drop in production

He probably is. Columbus just traded Bjorkstrand for a 3rd. I’m not even sure I can criticize the Toews trade anymore smh

This is obviously a big season for Barzal. Is he the 85 point guy from a few years ago, or a 65 point guy under the Trotz game plan. I think he will be in the middle and put up 75 this year with the PP being much better with Dobsons emergence and hopefully Wahlstrom gets a real shot with him this year.
