Podkolzin is under team control for 6 more seasons, the first two of which are at a cap hit SIX MILLION DOLLARS LESS than Nylander's, at which point Nylander's contract expires. I don't see the first-round draft pick making up for that gigantic discrepancy in both term and money.

Your offer for Podkolzin is not wild as most Leaf proposals but it is not going to happen. I think the days of trading our first round picks is over and Podz is going to be a hell of a player. So Nyet.
