Description
Kent and Mctavish have nasty chemistry its a crime they arent playing together. Also Lambos looked really bad tons of giveaways and really bad defending on the first latvia goal. Also cossa and his 850 can sit on the bench hes so bad at these tournaments. Roy looked a step behind on that top line maybe he can get that second line going cause they were invisible. the third line was dominating all night Grieg was his normal dominant self but i was very impressed with ostapchuk hes a great player

Ostapchuk is a beast lol. Saw him absolutely crunch the one Latvian player and was instantly a fan.

It grosses me out how good bedard is, he’s lethal from anywhere.

I’d love to see a 2nd line of Johnson-Greig-Stankoven

From looking at projected lineups I thought Cossa was the 3rd string tender or the backup.

I'm glad he got a start even if it's against a lower talented team . I thought he looked pretty good at times but had some weak spots as well.

I hope he gets more starts but understand if team Canada gives the other goalies a go.

No way you break up Ostapchuk-Greig-Dufour. That was one of the most physically dominant lines I've seen at the World Juniors in years.

That 3rd line was so huge game one. They out worked the opponent in every zone, and absolutely bullied them physically.

Great to see Ostapchuk keeping that stride he hit in the playoffs for Vancouver. He reminds me a lot of Logan Brown, except he doesn't have the laundry list of terminal flaws that stopped Brown from being good. He skates well, competes in all zones and really uses his size. He's obviously not the offensive talent Logan Brown was at the same age, but I see similarities in how they handle the puck, as well as some offensive decision making.

You usually never see teams put lines together like that. It’s not often you see a big physical line like that. They looked great.

Yeah. I think Davey Wavy wanted an identity line, and that line is a very Dave Cameron line. There's offensive talent to spare on that line, but they work because they all bring pressure. They pressure hard in the D-zone, forcing turnovers, and they use that physical presence to pressure puck carriers and puck retrievals.

Mm, yes please on that top line. Sucks the Jackets will be too good for Bedard this season, because I'd love to spend the next seven years watching him and KJ together. McTavish is a joy to watch, too.
