Assuming that Durzi for Sandin is a roughly equal exchange (although I wouldn't make it), why in the world would we want to exchange local boy Trevor Moore, whom we are odds-on to be able to re-sign in 2023, for one year of Alex Kerfoot and the window dressing?

That's entirely aside from the fact that we can't afford to add $1.6 million in cap.

I think Scooby Doo might be offended by your title.

The Chicago trade is brutal for the Leafs, you want to trade 2-years of Nylander (and perhaps more) for 1-year of Kane, and 1-year of Domi maybe multiple for which could be a good thing or a really bad thing. There's no point though upgrading for a year, just to need two top 6 players instead of just one.

I've had one Nylander and that's enough Nylanders for a lifetime. Flipping him or not, I have negative interest in ever having him employed. I'm looking for draft picks for Kane, you can try to flip Nylander for picks if you want to make a deal

Durzi looked good last season, and was a great pick by Dubas. That said, Sandin is two years younger and has higher potential. Be patient, it will pay off. See my predictions post for how it will shake out, or not wink. TBH, I would love to have Durzi back tho!
