Everyone declines. These trades are nuts and completely without a moment of focus on cap considerations.

Yeah, most of these are wacky over-asks. And then there's the cap issues in other places.

Stanley doesn't have very much value but in what world does Lundkvist fetch a 1st flushed cheeks

Not after the season he had this season. But he is a all time point leader for d men in SHL for players under 21 years in the history of SHL. So if he has an decent start lets say point per game in AHL or 0.4 point per game in NHL he is. So he has some pedigree that is what I am saying. But I understand the hesitance based on last year, I do. But that is what I think Drury's price is, if I am honest.

Solid analysis my friend. I remember hearing so much hype around Lundkvist a couple years ago, and even though last year wasn't tooo bad of a year for him, I think if he has a good start like you said, he'll improve his stock immensely.

-Rangers will want more value back for Lundkvist than just Logan Stanley. Maybe not a 1st like suggested above, but *something* more than one for one. Pass for NY.

-Schmidt doesn't make sense for Chicago. I don't think he's a worthless player, mind you, but every move that Chicago has made this summer points towards a full rebuild. Why would they give up a 3rd for a 31-year-old RHD with 3x$5.95M left? Most likely they're still rebuilding by the time his deal is up. Pass for Chicago.

-Boston's already over the cap and has a pretty solidly set top 6 (assuming Marchand-Bergeron-Pasta and Hall-Krejci-DeBrusk); I can't see them doubling Craig Smith's salary just to kick someone like JDB down to the third line and slot in Wheeler. Maybe it works it they make other moves to free up cap, but that's the only way it really works. Pass for Boston.

-I haven't seen a single Leafs ACGM this summer that hasn't tried to move Justin Holl; why are they trading for another RHD with a higher AAV? There's no room under the cap for this unless, again, they make other moves. Pass for the Leafs.

-I don't see a world where Mark Scheifele outperforms Mat Barzal on the Islanders, not to mention that I can't see Lou trading for a guy with rumors of being bad in the room like Scheifele has surrounding him. Isles also have so few forwards in their prime years, it wouldn't make sense to get even older by swapping these two unless Winnipeg adds something to make it worthwhile. Islanders pass.

-Value might be fair here, but really depends on what Seattle is trying to do. I have to feel like they pounced on Bjorkstrand because he's a goalscorer and they really don't have any. Kraken most likely pass.

-I don't think the value is bad in here, but Jersey has -so many- D in their pipeline. I feel like the one thing they need is help in goal, so I feel like they hold on to their best trade asset in the hopes of getting something that fits their needs back. This is probably the most likely trade here that I could see happening, though. Devils pass, unless they fall in love with Heinola.

He should. For some reason Hartford completely collapsed as a team last year which sure didn't help anyone playing for them last year. After that his stats fell off. But he did well first half.
But if he doesn't and NYR still want's to trade him they need to accept less back than 1st rounder, that is totally understandable.

As a side note; I expected some struggling this year from him. Took him two years to establish himself as a point beast in the SHL. So unfortunately it seems like he takes his time adjusting

Boston is over the cap right now by 2.2m. That move puts them over by 5.2m. And taking Wheeler’s 2nd year of zero interest at any cost.

We’ll trade you Smith. But it will be for a player making 1m or less, or preferably prospect or pick.

Barron or Gustaffson with a late pick added would probably do it. Catch Donny on the right day you can probably get him to drop the late pick and do a straight swap. I’d be happy with Stanley even though the last thing Boston needs is another LD. It’s funny how good the D was by all metrics yet no Bruin fan is happy with the makeup of the D. Lol.
