Yes because “way better” is having 24 more points in 6 more games over the course of their careers so far. The difference is a bit negligible, although Necas hasn’t hit his full potential, and if he does that. Suzuki is better now, but a couple years down the road, that might be different. Suzuki had a higher floor than Necas, but Necas has the higher ceiling. Assuming both utilize their full potential, it would be a wash for both sides.

eh, I think the canes add but not as much as ya think considering Suzuki is getting 7.875 for a long time and necas with very similar production is at 3 mil. I think people undersell the $ benefit in a contracts value. just off points, a player making 2 mil providing 40 points is considerably better than a player making 6 mil providing 60 points.
