Any rumours of ptos similiar to svechnikov last year, was kind of hoping for a lightning in a bottle gift, change of scenery light the world up adventure, not that svechnikov did that, but always a possibility of something missed from another organization or just plain change of scenery or change of opportunity.
No haven't heard anything about any PTO's but did hear from one of the local media guys today that he heard Svechnikov didn't want to get a qualifying offer from the Jets so he could test the market or cause he thought he could get better, big miss by Svech if that is indeed true though.
This was from a guy who's opinion I rarely ever agree with but maybe there's some truth to it Idk, these guys would hear some stuff so perhaps it is but I doubt it, the Jets probably just didn't want to bring him back, they didn't seem to realize how effective he was last season.
What a miss by them last season, Svech was a nice complimentary piece with Connor and Dubois
and when he was with other offensively minded players he looked decent, put him with Toninato or Lowry and he looked useless. Svech never should've been taken off that line, keep that line together and then make two lines from Scheifele, Ehlers, Stastny, Copp, Wheeler and one of Perfetti or Harkins, they probably have three lines scoring, they're winning more games and none of this room stuff blows up like it did, the cure for a bad room is scoring more and winning games!!!!
What is it with this team that they can't seem to take the Harkins or Svech types and put them with the right type of linemates? And the same thing with the Toninato types, doesn't he seem like a guy who'd work best with Lowry?
