i wouldnt like to give up lilje + a 1st for a rental but i definetly can see this happening. leafs accept

Can't imagine Toronto making that trade. They don't have an abundance of RHD, so even if Niemela was ready to play in the NHL, the chances of them giving up Liljegren is still slim especially with Miller as a rental, not that him resigning would make much of a difference if it's not on a cheap deal.

Likewise, for Vancouver to retain half of Miller's cap or trade away Schenn doesn't make much sense if they are in contention still
