Tullio is a pretty ho hum prospect, Lavoie or Marody are more interesting to the Ducks for Klingberg.

Samorukov is equally ho hum for us, we have no need to add to our prospect logjam at LD. If you want Grant in the retention deal it's needs to be better picks or prospects.

Gotta give to get. Chicago declines. We're talking about Patty F'ing Kane here.

I think a first, second and a prospect is considered giving

Offer will be outbid. Especially with Chicago retaining.

Depending on how desperate a team gets to make a cup run along with Kane's production, I don't think it'll be crazy if teams are offering an elite prospect/ good player + a middle prospect and a 1st.

Kane put up 92 points in 78 games last season on a bad Chicago team. Hawks will not be giving him away in a lowball trade. Don't pay the price you don't get the player. He's also loyal to Chicago and controls which team he's traded to. He's not going to want Chicago getting fleeced. That's not enough. The middle prospect will most likely never play in the NHL. The late first may not either. It'll be closer to being a 2nd round pick. Window dressing won't get Patty Kane.

I should have clarified, I don't think Lavoie qualifies as an elite prospect, and I don't think Edmonton has one that fits the bill.

But, for the sake of the hypothetical to gauge value, would you think Edvinsson, Zadina and a 1st gets Kane?

This would of course be a TDL rental acquisition with no conditionals for a contract extension. Because it's looking like it's going to be tough for any team to put together a satisfactory package, and eventually there will have to be compromise from CHI.

No. Because Zadina has a reputation of being a bust. Chicago wouldn't want him. I think he'll be a little better than he is now. But not much. I love Patty Kane. But no way in hell am I giving Edvinsson up. Red Wings are still rebuilding and it makes no sense to trade for Kane.

Chicago is right to demand a high price and you're right. The price might not be as high as I think. But it'll still be high. Otherwise, why even trade him?

Keep hanging on then and you'll end up losing him for nothing in FA

A late 1st and 2nd and Lavoie has little to no value, Yeah Chicago declines.

Chicago laugh at that offer, Foegele is a worthless cap dump. Lavoie doesn't have much value and late 1st and 2nd. Yeah that's easily blown away.
