Claude Giroux hasn't had 90 points in 5 YEARS. that, among many others, are just unrealistic point totals

NYI declines that trade. pretty bad return for a top 5 goalie in the league

He wasnt better imo. Hes definitely top 10 and if he has another season like he just did then yes I'd put him top 5. I just dont like to go based off one season. But hey that's just me so we all have different opinions

-Sorokin is one of the most valuable goalies in the league. A 2024 1st, a prospect, a middle-6 forward, and a lesser goalie aren't going to be enough to pry him out of New York.

-Oleksiak has a full NTC, so you have to get past that; I also can't see Seattle even asking him to waive if all you're going to offer them is a cap dump, a bottom pair D you waited until Labor Day to sign, and a 2nd rounder - and then asking them to retain 3x$1.2M on top of that? Sheesh!

It's not an opinion. Look at the numbers for last year. Sorokin was easily top 5, and probably top 2.
