Realistic Cychrun Trade

Created by: CameronAbel24
Team: 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 23, 2022
Published: Sep. 23, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
EDM
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
Additional Details:
This seems like a fair ish trade maybe a little over pay by edmonton but there are a lot of teams in the running for chychrun. Edmonton gives up a prospect who is a second round pick who has shown flashes but somewhat incosistent a first a second and a 4th and barrie to make the salarys work and then arizona can retain 50% on barrie at the trade deadline and catch a decently heafty package for barrie
ARI
  1. Barrie, Tyson
  2. Lavoie, Raphael
  3. 2023 1st round pick (EDM)
  4. 2024 2nd round pick (EDM)
  5. 2025 4th round pick (EDM)
2.
EDM
    Future Considerations

i like this for chicago because he will get a lot of playing time in Chicago maybe playing on the second with Toews and anthanasiou and if he does play great Which ever way chicago wants to go either they get a good ass middle six grtty foward or they retain 50% and get a good package for him at the deadline
    CHI
    1. Foegele, Warren
    2. 2024 5th round pick (EDM)
    Additional Details:
Foegle is awesome player but not for almost three million bucks. I would love for them to keep him since he could have a great bounce back year with a full season of woodcroft but the oilers foward depth is just getting too deep especially with reid shaeffer in the mix now. and you cant be paying someone 3 million bucks when you need the cap space for someone who MIGHT have a bounce back year and if not will be playing on the fourth line next year.

shaeffer Is at least 2 yrs away, did you watch the young stars tournament he was a step behind especially his first two strides and his edge needs some serious work, he’s a first round project, the time he’s ready for the show Foegele contract will be over.
Any trade for Chychrun starts with Broberg, Lavoie is a bust the only team that might be interested in him is the Habs as he’s French.

Come on, that’s not realistic at all. A late first and a B- prospect, with a salary dump? Not even remotely close

Not sure why Arizona would do that. Barrie does nothing for a rebuilding team. Lavoie is a B prospect at best. Edmonton's 1st will be in the 20-30 range.

Edmonton needs to include something higher end for Arizona to bite.

Yeah bud, you're out to lunch with this trade. Arizona doesnt even consider it. A trade for Chych would start with Broberg & a 1rst rnd pick. Im not a Barrie hater, he has legit value, just not to the Coyotes at this stage in their rebuild. Lavoie is injured & could very well be a career AHL player at this point.

Broberg just isn't happening. Holland reportedly already had that conversation with AZ, they insisted that Broberg be part of any return and that ended the conversations. Holland is too high on Broberg to move him in a Chychrun trade.
