Buffalo doesn't pick up Dickinson for free off waivers. They don't seem to be into the getting picks for cap dump business either.

Vegas reluctantly signs Hague to that contract. Worse DMen rentals brought back 1st+ at the trade deadline. Worries about the cap ramifications next year.

You are correct. Vegas could easily sign him to that contract, they just apparently want to get it lower.

It would only have the cap ramification of Vegas having to run with 22 instead of 23 until Brossoit is ready to play in November when they could take him off IR and run 23 by sending one of the three goalies down if needed.
