Holland won't move Holloway absolutely won't package with a first or Jesse that's just fantasy level optimism.

Puljujarvi's trade value was around a late 2nd or 3rd according to GM's interviewed by The Athletic.

Then Girard would get a 1st + good prospect. Maybe I'm underrating Holloway a little bit, but he's yet to play a single regular season game so is far from a proven commodity.

Those rumors of Jesse only being worth a late second or a third might hold some truth when he was in Finland and was getting both hips repaired.... good reason why Holland wouldn't move him back then but second he came back to North America I'd call bs on any reported value being that low he's a huge boy who skates like the wind and drastically improves every line he's on.

That value was reported this off-season when Holland was trying to trade him before signing his QO. Seravalli also said yesterday that he's still on the market too. At his caphit his value won't be too high right now when players like Rodrigues, Heinen, Stastny etc are taking $1m - $2m X 1 year deals.

If we listened to those reporters Jesse would have been moved years ago.... Not suggesting Holland isn't open to moving him but not in a deal that he carries no value in.

I don't think Colorado would trade Girard for Holloway + 1st alone, so Puljujarvi (or another piece) would bridge the remaining value.

I was also thinking that some money/roster player would have to go to Colorado in the deal, but most guys have either too big caphits or too much term, hence Puljujarvi made sense as an extra.

I think Holloway is untouchable for the Oilers right now (or at least I hope he is), Pulji + 1st + something else might work for Girard... but it would depend on Colorado's wants/needs.

I don't think there is any chance of Holloway being included. Considering the options oilers have to sort threw on left d including nurse kulak broberg niemelainen samorukov doubt a first or Jesse would be in play. Probably best to try a deal with another team can't see Edmonton paying the price your looking for.

Do Edmonton have any C or RHD prospects who could be included in a trade like Girard for 1st + Puljujarvi + ______?

Holloway has more value than Girard by himself. This is a really, really crazy valuation.

Plus, Edmonton doesn't need or want Girard, nor do they have enough cap space for him.

Raphael Lavoie (C but mostly plays RW) and Michael Kesselring (RD) are the only 2 I could see Edmonton moving.
Edmonton would also need to move Barrie to open up the cap space/slot for Girard to play, plus Girard would need to be ok with being on the right side.

Pulji + 1st ('24) + Kessel/Lavoie for Girard might be alright for both teams, but a lot of other things would need to fall into place for it to make sense with Edmonton.

Lol don't be silly. The prospect with ONE game in the NHL doesn't have more value than a 23 year old bonafide no.3 Dman locked in for 5 years at a good caphit.

He's just not as good as you seem to think, and anyways Edmonton's not interested in being the high bidder. Not sure why this is so difficult for you.

Jake Sanderson has ZERO games of NHL experience, why don't you ask for him + 1st + top-6 winger?

The number of games a prospect has played doesn't determine his value. Stop being ridiculous.

Absolutely no way Avs move Girard for that package. Especially with a 2024 1st instead of 2023.

That's fair, not trying to insult with that offer but I couldn't think of anyone/anything else the Oilers would add.

Oilers might not be the place to send Girard to, most of our D are locked up for 3-4 years (or are gunna be RFA's), we realistically have 1 spot open on our 3rd pairing.

holloway the org has said is untouchable they wont include him. One he is showing extremely well. he is very talented and he is also on an ELC for this year and next which has more value to the oilers in their cap situation.

I can see them moving JP if they need more cap space even if its just for pick.
