Description

In normal circumstances, Bear may get Schenn and a 3rd round pick, but if the Canes are willing to take on the Ferland LTIRetirement, I could see the 3rd being upgraded to a 2nd.

The Canucks are rumored to want to deal the Ferland LTIRetirement in order to conserve deadline cap space. The trade proposal I made is not about Bear alone but also about clearing the Canucks' LTIR, which has its own price for Vancouver. A proposal like this essentially kills two birds with one stone.
