3rd times the charm

Description
The definitive list. All I did was flip Ras and Kubalik. (edit: Ras moves to center. Sunny on the PK) Main reason is that I love the 3rd line with Ras, Suter, and Perron and I think Kubalik is good enough to produce even on the 4th line. Maata is still watching from the booth. LGRW!

I actually have no idea if you’d actually still want Pettersson or not. 😂😂😂

In other words god bless Chris Farley’s soul. May he always rest in sweet paradise.

I still miss Chris Farley.

But the Pettersson option became obsolete when Yzerman signed Chiarot and Maatta. Edvinsson will compete for the other LD spot. If he's not ready and is sent down to Grand Rapids then Oesterle likely gets it. Walman and Hagg will return from injury. Johansson, Wallinder, Sebrango and Viro are eventual options too.

Maatta plays every night. He's easily our 2nd best ld at the moment.

Copp has played more on the wing in the NHL and since they want him to succeed in the 2C spot I'd expect to see Perron on the 2nd line. I'm pretty sure Zadina will have to earn his way back into the top 6. I'd also switch Kubalik and Rasmussen especially with the way he's been playing in the preseason.

This goes against almost everything I've believed in the past, but I don't think the AHL is a good place for Edvinsson to develop. If he is projected to make the NHL someday then let's just rip off the band-aid now and have some faith that he'll find his way and step up on the fly. Worst-case scenario he sits out some games. If he goes to the AHL, he just might get stuck there.

It's all fan speculation. Yzerman will decide where Edvinsson plays. Us wannabe know it all "experts" have no say in it. It sounds like he'll make the team going by what Lalonde is saying but who knows?
