A little caveat before the trades

Debrincat got traded for less than what im offering Dallas for Robertson

And it looks like Rob wont be signing with the Stars anytime soon.

As for any trade, when you trade the best player in a trade, you never get a singular player back that will be equal in skill as the player you are trading. So no Slaf, Caufield, Suzuki,. Hutson or Guhle in the trade since no team will give up any of their top 5 prospects for a player who only scores

Reportedly he wants close to $9,000,000 per AVV in no State income Texas. So he's not taking the exact same amount in high taxed Montreal.

You are completely ignoring the fact that the 1st round pick OTT traded for Cat was 7th overall, and that second pick is 2 years away and will also most likely be late. Not to mention the fact that Anderson will be an expensive cap dump. Not sure why MTL fans think Anderson has value, he is 28 and is what he is at this point, he has LARGELY underperformed since signing that contract, and he still has 5 years left at that $5.5M cap hit. This would have to be a TDL move and Anderson would have to be having a VERY good season, and even then DAL still isn't going to trade Robertson for an aging player like Anderson.

As for the trade with CHI, I doubt that is enough to dump Hoffman. He doesn't have signing bonuses and the contract is backloaded, which means CHI would be on the hook for $5M x 2 years for a total of $10M dollars. Smilanic is meh, and a late 2nd in 2024 is whatever. Also, MTL can claim Beaudin off waivers right now if they want him.

If you think that Robertson is a player that only scores, I suggest you start watching him play more. Yes, his goal totals are high but he brings much more to the table than just scoring goals. And the stars easily decline that trade
