I was thinking the canes could be a trade deadline destination for Klingberg, maybe be the #2 powerplay QB, having the Ducks retain half the salary if they aren't in the playoff hunt, doubt the Canes give up a first or Drury for him though, but definitely an interesting possibility later in the year.

Yeah, I'd say it's likely the 1st, but not Drury. Probably something minor attached.

Canes pass in a heartbeat. They don’t need a PP2 qb when they can choose any of Coghlan, Slavin, Pesce, Skjei, or even Chatfield or Bear. And they aren’t going to make that massive overpayment for Klingberg of all players, when they still have 5 NHL caliber RHDs

If anything, using Bear as part of a Klingberg deal makes more sense than Drury, the last thing the Ducks need is more left handed centers, and the Canes apparently have an overabundance of RHD.

Want to explain why the Ducks are sending Silf out, with retention, and a pick for Gritsyuk? Is a guy with zero NA experience, who was taken in the fifth round worth that?

Yeah, Canes tell you to kick rocks. Canes don't need Klingberg and they need waiver exempt depth like Drury that can play in the NHL and go back to the AHL without an issue.

Kid is one of our top forward prospects and the devils aren’t just giving him a way for a pylon in silf for no reason. Silf would not improve the devils at all. If anything he’d just be another tatar

That's fine, keep him. Verbeek isn't particularly interested in euro players with no N/A experience, undersized forwards, or adding any additional left shot forwards to the roster. Its a deal that makes no sense for either team.

Gritsyuk: KHL Rookie of the year, made Russia Olympic team at age 20, comparable to Panarin, Kaprizov, Tarasenko (based on KHL Production)

Keep silfverberg, fine by me
