This Avs fan likes it. Let us get something out of a late 1st cause they can't seem to develop anyone past the 16OA and they are 50/50 there. Not that there isn't the talent, just they will never see the ice long enough to shine. If they move Toews out over the summer to maximize return, plus with the cap going up more than expected, with SB playing lights out at DU and/or New Z ready to make the jump... That is a heavy 2nd line.

I’m not a fan and I’m sure every gm not in MTL is exceedingly wary of giving up assets for a guy that seems to very much so want to go to MTL. That being said if he could be convinced to sign an extension the value is outlandish.

Iv been told by their fans that the only way MTL will get him is by giving up their 2023 first. Don't think that is close to that ball park so will be interesting to see their reaction

Not even a remote chance Winnipeg would look at that at this point of the season. There would need to be an equivalent or potentially equivalent center coming back for Winnipeg to even discuss.

The deal would need to start with Newhook.
