Voit with 3 assists on the night, brings him too 77 points on the year.

What a sick little pass this was

I always ponder if Dubas was in charge of drafting from 2015-2017 what would have happened.

For sure Aho and Cirelli would have happened but what else.

Still laugh at people who say Hunter over Dubas as man that man could not draft for **** other than the 1st round

Kind of wish he opted for the Marlies. Probs would be leading the AHL in Dman points. The new coaching change on his Liiga team not great for him

Still doing good by kid against men standards but would have been interesting to see him in the AHL

This will be his last year in Finland. Both Niemela and Hirvonen are expected to join the Marlies at the conclusion of the LIIGA season

He does have an opt out in his contract tho. So it’s either NHL next year or back to Karpat. No AHL next year.

He will play in the playoffs this year tho for the Marlies once his season is over

Its dumb as to me Marlies is best for his development. Unless he goes to another Liiga team with a coach who knows how to work with him like his old one did just feels like a waste.

Guess he's back to LIIGA next year which is slightly annoying tears of joy

It was the agreement with Karpat when he signed his ELC.

It makes sense and does fit our timeline quite nicely, it would've just been nice to see Topi tear in up in NA. Oh well, LIIGA is by no means an easy league so it will be beneficial to his development. I have a feeling Gio will retire at the end of his current contract and we will see a d-core of:

Rielly - Liljegren
Sandin - Timmins
Brodie - Niemela

I’m probably alone here but I don’t think Sandin makes it by the deadline.

But I can definitely see that right side long term

Knies gains the zone with control with the zone entry and gets the primary assist. He has 32 points in 31 games

Knies, Cooley, and Snuggerud have been such a treat to watch. Just a super lethal trio. Can't wait to see what Knies does when he has Matthews and Marner on his line

I think he does but I think we need an addition on the right side

When we added Lybushkin it allowed for Brodie to drop and make a proper shutdown pair with Muzzin

I want Dubas to do something similar. If Flames continue to struggle going for Tanev or Rasmussen could be interesting. Wherther playing with Rielly or Gio it will create more options

So then u could do

Rielly-Tanev
Gio-Brodie
Sandin-Liligren

Like yes Sandin has had issues but give him a veteran partner and he would do well. But the pairing has been good just need to ensure proper matchups.

If he can adapt to the NHL and work his way up Matthews and Marner gonna be very happy. As to me this was the guy they have been asking for since Hyman left

Knies could be something so much more special than Hyman. Hyman was a hard working pest, Knies is a genuine power forward. He is a complete unicorn player

This is an aside but I'm kind of bummed that Hyman was pigeonholed into that role. He was and is more talented than he gets credit for.

He is looking more and more like Marchands arc to me. And by that I mean Brad decided he was an elite top 6 winger when he was 27 years old.

A little later, I’d say Hyman became that his last year in TOR and has solidified that now in EDM.

For me it was when he got moved down to run the 3rd line for a bit in his last year. He had me looking at him in a whole new light. Straight up did not know he was capable of playing the way he did.
