Ah man, don’t remind us.
I guess his addition makes the roster more “top heavy” and would’ve come at the cost of a lot of the depth pieces we had for last years cup run (which in my opinion, was the key to our success last year).

With Panarin in, that’s probably Kadri and Burakovsky plus another piece to free up that cap space

No Lehnoken = no cup for Colorado last year. That's a fact.

Lehkonen is great but Panarin is a far better player in every facet of the game. This comment doesn’t make much sense.

Just like McRanteskog said, the depth was key to winning the cup last year.

No Lehkonen = no cup.

If I’m not mistaken, Colorado’s offer was for 4 years so that he and MacKinnon would expire at the same time. So this would be the last year on his deal.

Also wasn’t it at like $12M too?

Yeah because a team that went 16-4 in the playoffs he was a linch pin. What a dumb statement.

He scored 2 OT winning goal, and most Avs fans will agree he was the most clutch player on the team.

Insulting people won't make you right.

He was great in the playoffs but Panarin is one of the 10 best forwards in the world.

I'm not saying Lehkonen is better than Panarin. Panarin is a superstar and Lehkonen is at best a 2nd liner.

I'm just saying without their depth, Colorado doesn't win the cup last year. And Lehkonen was a big part of that depth.
