I wouldn't worry, there is no way the Leafs would want to add that contract anyway...and yes that is with the retention.

Leafs and habs: he only fanbases in the entire league that would think acquiring a point per game veteran defenseman with millions of retained salary for a low first and a liability is a fair trade

You'd almost have to give up the first to get rid of holl and have that salary retained alone, it doesn't even begin to cover a hall of fame dman
