In What reality does Trevor Moore get 5.25 while Bunting only 3.5?

No from Winnipeg. Dollar for dollar, Ehlers is the better player. No chance Winnipeg would be adding.

No from both teams. If we trade marner we do it to rebalance our line up and upgrade the blue line.

Winnipeg would take that and run. Marner is a superstar, Ehlers isn't. Adding two 2nds and 5M in cap space is worth the 42 points difference they had last year.

Lol. Typical Montreal fan that knows absolutely nothing about team building, team needs or the salary cap and thinks empty points tell the whole tale of a player.

I guess the annual selke votes, 100 point pace, 30 goal pace, 70 assist pace on a playoff team don’t tell the full story

You're always negative, insulting people and don't seem to think any players have value except Jets players.

Jets decline. Factoring in our expiring contracts, soon to be rebuild and that Ehlers is half the cost, it’s a simple choice. Marner is great, but not what we need right now. Given his current cap hit, I think Toronto would have a tough time moving him without taking a massive salary back, limiting the teams that they could trade with unless a third team is involved.

Exactly, it's like comparing a Farrari to a Volkswagen Bug. Those 2nd's would have to be firsts and a top prospect as well.

Where did I insult anyone and where did I say Marner doesn't have any value? It's not being negative, I'm being realistic. You may believe that teams don't care about the salary cap, but you're wrong. The salary cap is extremely important.

The only Jet fans that have posted in this thread have said the same thing. Winnipeg says no. Why? Because is the salary cap. As Toronto had found out, if you spend the majority of your cap on 3 players, it's very hard to ice a team than can compete with the top teams.
