First of all, Chicago hangs up when they hear that return. IMO that wouldn’t even get Kane, let alone the other pieces. But why does Seattle do that? Seattle will probably end the season with a chance at the Bedard/Fantilli/Michkov sweepstakes. They value their own picks quite highly, especially ones that will be likely to be around top 5. No reason for the Kraken to make that move now. If they make a move for Marner, it’s likely to be in 3 years.

two trades, on opposite ends of the bell curve: one is an absolute dreadful deal that has nowhere near the value that Mitch Marner deserves; the second is laughably bad for Patrick Kane, fully retained, plus two other trade chips. back to the drawing board!

If Seattle is going for a top 3 pick, why arent they trading their expiring deals, and why’d the bring in Burakovsky and Bjorkstrand? Its clear that theyre looking to contend soon after they took Beniers & Wright, and Marner is an impact player they would love
