seems steep, assuming it will be a 2nd + mid-tier prospect ... 1st might not be out of the question but the market could be flooded with Horvat/ROR/Toews

Giving up premium assets for a guy about to go UFA- especially who doesn’t fit into plans beyond this year- is not how Sakic does business.
I’m guessing though that if they are looking for a bottom 6 C- they might have some interest in Dvorak or Evans

Apples and Oranges. Chiarot is a defensive defenseman. Monohan is (supposed to be) a top 6 center. Dude has 59 points in his last 130 games. That's a 37 point pace over 82 games. The Avs already get that out of JT Compher.

Also - did Colorado give up all that for Chiarot? Pretty sure that was someone else...
