What I do know is Yzerman isn't foolish enough to run his franchise into the ground. Acquiring a 32 year old with half an achilles Erik Karlsson and 5 years left on his contract is comparable to buying a snowblower at a hair salon. It makes no sense. Detroit is still rebuilding. 3 Build thru the draft and then trade to get the team over the hump.
