Overall optimistic returns and not much regard for other teams cap.

You can forget about getting the jackets first pick.

It’s not the specific team here, it’s the framework on what I think Van should be trying to get back. Can take back money on all these deals as long as they expire this year

All of these deals can take money back that expire this season, also this isnt about specific teams more of what the Canucks might be able to do

He's been a terrible signing since day 1 and with 2 years left he's still a bad deal at 3 million. He really is best suited as a 3rd pair defender who kills penalties and gets sheltered minutes.

Myers, Pearson, Garland, Demko. Don't have expiring contracts. Tough to move without big retention. Myers, Pearson have little trade or even on ice value with their cap.. Garland, teams could spend 4.9m on a player without giving up a first. Demko somewhat the same situation.

I imagine demko is going to stay. He's a good goalie but the rest should be moved, you can spend a lot better money than that.

Oh, I admit" the Canucks can spend a lot better money than that" (the players not named Demko), which is really they aren't really tradable as no other team wants them either.

I bet they can move Garland without much trouble. But they won't be getting some top 4 RD or a 1st. He'll get a 2nd and a lesser prospect from someone who may have room to give him some PP time.

Jackets don’t need to move any cap this year they will be taking on cap for picks if anything. Canucks should be targeting a late first and decent prospect from contenders. Jackets will likely have a top 10 pick with a shot at first overall. They won’t be trading that for horvat.

If you read my notes above it talks about the framework for a deal that isn’t team specific, obviously CLB isn’t giving up a potential lottery pick
