I think the value is fair. Despite the absurdly high ask of most sharks fans, i think as a neutral fan and comparing comparable players moved recently this is what Meier should get in a trade.

This is reasonable for what Meier brings. Of course there is quite a bit of risk resigning him though. I would say refrain from the STL trade.

That's a whole lot of nothing for Tarasanko. Mangiapane's best season was last year and he's likely to not put up similar numbers.

Regret for the Mangiapane contract so try to dump it

You've never watched him play I guess. Guys shooting nearly 10% below his career average right now and suddenly his contract is bad?

Gotta give to get Ledge and moving Mang’s Cap Hit would help us re-sign Tarasenko or another 0.80-1.00PPG+ Player

Too early to consider moving him!? How long do we wait for him to turn it around!? Mang is getting Paid Top-6 money but isn’t Producing Top-6 results

Guys best year was last year and looks like an outlier. You want someone on a bloated contract close to 6 mill that's about to kick in a M-NTC who puts up 30 points as the main piece for Tarasanko. Expect to hear crickets when you phone the offer over to DA

Guess we shouldn't offer Huberdeau either since that will get the same response. Bloated contract, best years are behind him, probably only puts up 30 points right?

Or maybe you should ask yourself why the goal scorer who's scored on around 16-20% of their shots over the previous 3 seasons is only shooting at 9% so far after these 17 games.

The guy would have more goals if he had more goals? He'd have more points if he'd have more points? Do you understand your argument? He'd score more if he shot more? The point is he doesn't score more because he doesn't shoot. And somehow that percentage is suppose to magically hold up when it scales? He's a 26 year old 6th round draft pick, with a 5.8 cap hit who is on pace to once again put up 30 points. We aren't trading Tarasanko for a guy who will "potential" shoot. And Mag's best years aren't behind him, hes never produced at a level to be a cornerstone piece for someone like Tarasanko.

hahah all great points, and honestly all are potentially right. Mangiapane could be an outlier year last year, but he has enough attributes without scoring that show that there is a chance that gis could be just as much an outlier year as he has progressed every year. Again, I am not saying is IS or ISN'T, I'm saying because there is a debate, it obviously can possibly be either way, which you can't argue. That being said, Tarasenko is a rental, so Mangiapane is more than fair for him. If Mangiapane was a sure thing, you obviously wouldn't get him on a 3 year contract for a UFA. hence the trade being relatively fair, whether it is liked or not. But from a bias flames fan, even though I did this, I wouldn't trade that I don't think for Tarasenko, so moot point.
