The Pittsburgh and San Jose deals are awful for the Oilers. In two of the last three Pittsburgh ACGMs posted today, a Penguins fan has offered DuMoulin for future considerations.

Islanders trade looks close.

Pit takes that and runs. Terrible for Edmonton.

Can't see anyone taking on Campbell with that much term left on his deal.

Take out Lafferty or add a 2nd to the hawks trade.

I definitely wouldn't go by what other Pens' fans are offering, but I admit this is not a good deal for EDM. Dumo's play has improved since being placed in a more sheltered role, so he's definitely worth more than future considerations. At this point I'd put his value at a 3rd, but I also don't think he gets moved, so most of this is moot.

Then again, there's always the new Ben Chiarot rule lol

Campbell is a bad contract now. SJ not taking that on.

I completely understand the sentiment, but SJS being a rebuilding team getting Yamo and a 2023 1st round pick and only giving up an aging netminder on an expiring contract and Lablanc... it wouldn't be a bad move at all. Campbell would help SJS stay over the cap floor if they start selling, is definitely an NHL goaltender that they could probably flip with retention, and his contract would expire just in time for them to be trending back up in the standings. I MIGHT argue that EDM would need to retain a bit on Campbell though.
