Wahlstrom was buried by Barry Trotz who’s one of the worst coaches in the league at handling young forwards. Wahlstrom has been great with Barzal and he leads the isles in 5v5 points per 60. No reason to trade him when he’s on an ELC. Him and Barzal have been dynamic together

I knew Trotz would be blamed for a player who isn’t living up this draft position! It’s the same broken record, Trotz, Bowness, Sutter, and any coach over 55 who dares to not put a kid in a top role right away is the one to blame. If the kid was worth his draft position he’d be producing at a similar rate to Joel Farabee who was only a few picks after him. How many of your forwards actually can score a ppg?

Trotz is known for burying young players, he did it to Filip forsberg, vrana , burakovsky etc..

Keller is a powerplay merchant this season, Wahlstrom is scoring at a higher rate than him at 5v5 - the isles don't need another pass first player. Wahlstrom is the better goal scorer and thats what the isles need
