There's no universe where Pionk is worth Ottawa's 1st. They're gonna be drafting top 10, Pionk is a middling Offensive Dman who can't defend his way out of a paper bag.

Yeah, I considered that too. But I didn't feel like diving into all of that speculation. In all likelihood, though, he probably wouldn't be willing to sign for that little. Although, WPG might have the roster to entice him enough to do so.

Anaheim won't lack for players to try out at LD next season, so I can't see the Ducks spending a third on two years of Nate Schmidt and that awful contract.
