-What's in this for St. Louis? ROR doesn't have an NTC, so he's not waiving - it's open season on him if St. Louis has truly made him available. Sending the Blues the '23 1st is a good start, but SDA & Hollowell aren't very strong prospects, Kerfoot adds minimal value as another pending UFA they don't need, and there's no reason for them to be sending back a 4th rounder.

Deal has to start with a '23 1st, a good prospect, and a 3rd rounder if you want the retention, and I'm sure the Blues are fine with taking back a contract to offset the cap. This only has the first and last part of that - gotta fill in those middle two slots if you want ROR, imo.
