It makes no sense for Ottawa to give up Zaitsev (who is currently better than Myers alone), Watson who is a decent 4th liner and a 2nd round pick for a cap dump.

I wouldn't trade Samuelsson for OEL of he was 100% retained, meaning we didn't actually have to pay him a penny

Zaitsev is not better than Myers. He’s awful. Myers isn’t great but is a lot better than Zaitsev

Zaitsev has been rock solid defensively lately. Myers is awful. Either way it makes no sense for us because Myers is more expensive.

Sorry I’m advance, but i just can’t come up with a polite way to tell you how utterly awful the Sabres trade is

We wouldn’t swap Samuelsson for OEL straight up
OEL is a declining 30something with a brutal contract
He’s an absolute Cap dump & u have no chance whatsoever of getting value back for him- especially from Buffalo
