I can’t see the Sharks retaining on Couture for so long when it amounts to moving up ~10-15 picks in the draft and a 6th.

This is all pretty unrealistic

Fact is, Couture, Meier and Karlsson likely never traded. Outside of Hertl and our promising prospects there's no star players to sell tickets.
