Personally, I think Ottawa is giving up too much. Get rid of the 2nd, the 4th, and the 7th, and I think it's okay, but I still don't think this deal is realistic.

If you want a team to retain 4.75M for 8 years, it’s going to cost an absolute boatload of assets

Chicago is retaining 50% in this trade though. Ottawa would have to give up a lot more for that reason alone

ottawa is giving up a cap dump a r***st a bust a bust and a second for an elite defenseman
