EDM doesn't have the asset value

Rumor I heard was 5 firsts in EDM value, their prospects don't cut it

Has anyone in the history of the NHL got 5 firsts?

If it's five 1sts in EDM value, then their prospects like Bourgault are going to cut it.

who ever trades anything close to the asking price for chychrun is gonna regret it badly. I hope edmonton does it, it would be very funny

Bourgault is worth a 1st to EDM, not to AZU

They need '23/'24 quality picks, D and netminder prospects, not wingers.... not even centers

Whether AZU wants Bourgault or not is a different story, but they can't ask for five 1sts from EDM and then say Bourgault isn't worth one lol. The best that they can say is you don't have the assets but your claim is that the rumor is five 1st in EDM value. Change Lavoie to Broberg and remove the 2nd, and there's no way that AZU doesn't accept that. If they don't maybe they should be called AZElementary because they would need to relearn how to express their thoughts.

As for needing quality 23/24 picks, they are probably not getting a top-10 pick in either year for Chychrun most likely.

Honestly if they can't get Chychrun for Broberg, 2023 1st, a 2nd and JP then they should stay away.

in 1998 the Avs tried to get Lecavalier for their four 1sts but got rejected. Instead, they drafted: Skoula, Parker, Regher, and Tanguay.

The ask that I heard is the Eichel return -- a young high-quality roster player, an A prospect, a first-round draft pick and another high (first- or second-round) draft pick, depending upon the quality of the two live players.

It would be absurd for Edmonton, who need to deepen their prospect pool, to trade two firsts, a second and one of their recent firsts for Chychrun, plus additional marketable assets.

Well, I'm guessing that the idea is that Edmonton's 1sts and prospects don't have much value. Has a team ever given up five 1sts straight up? I don't think so but in terms of value probably. What I find ridiculous though is to say that the ask for Edmonton would be five 1sts but then to say that Bourgault isn't considered a 1st as if the standard is five 1sts in Anaheim value. Then we are getting into Eric Lindros trade territory.

All it probably takes for Edmonton to land Chychrun is 1 of Holloway/Broberg + 2023 1st + 2024 1st or Bourgault + Barrie or JP+a 2nd. The price is high and interested teams are plenty but waiting.

Edmonton's prospects are as blue chip as anyone's but they don't want to include them or they don't get ahead.

If that is the ask then he will be in Az for a long time.

2 x 1st and Bourgault should be just fine. Add Barrie for cap reasons also if needed.

The rest is way too much.

He's by far the best player in that trade, and currently on an amazing deal for his position.



If EDM had the prospects, they'd be asked for in return. As I've heard, AZU has 0 interest in gifting one of the best dmen per cap hit in the show to EDM for scraps.
