Don't hold your breath, man. Not only is his skating speed below average, he weighs all of 150 pounds. The OHL and the NHL are very different animals.

Voit will be a few years away. Jarnkrok has done a good job there so far (Short sting though). But I am sure the Leafs management will try to get an upgrade for that spot at the deadline. Clearly the only real hole on our team.

Voit will not be the answer for this year though.

0% chance he plays this year in my opinion. he is a long time project. could be an nhl, could be a bracco.

Voit didn't even make the USA junior world cup roster, don't see him cracking the Leafs roster for another 2 years.

We have seen for close to 100 years high scoring juniors...or AHLers, NCAA or Europeans never getting a sniff at the NHL because their skill set doesn't transfer to the NHL.
I wish all young men the best of success to reach the NHL, but geez the odds aren't great.
So many Leafs on this site think their draftees having "can't miss" NHL value

I imagine Voit will be a couple years down the road. Will need to play in the AHL for a bit. But he certainly looked good in the rookie tournament and in the preseason.

That's more to do with how Hockey USA operates. They like kids in their program and rarely use kids in the Canadian major junior program. Which is really stupid
